Founder
A preface by the founder of Eco
Before founding Eco
Environmental Consultants we were, as individuals, heavily involved in
community services and strong believers in peace, ethics and good
conduct. The beginning started during university days and fully
developed during the Iraqi regime invasion of Kuwait
on the 2nd of August 1990. During our stay
in occupied Kuwait
we were part of an independent voluntary group who provided items of
need to the people, worked in food factories to produce caned food and
distributed money to the people who did not have any. Directly, after Kuwait's
liberation we with other environmental colleagues,
formed the Kuwait Environmental Action Team (KEAT). The team members
worked day and night inside Kuwait's oil fields to
assess the situation and to give a feed back to the people, government
and government establishments. We met H.H. the Amir
of Kuwait
and H.H. the Crown Prince of Kuwait in order to advocate the need to
protect the people's health from pollution and to protect our
devastated environment. The oil wells fire was a unique catastrophe
that was never experienced before and never recorded in human beings
history.
Later on when we decided to form an environmental consultation
company the first things that came to our minds is
that community services should be continued and to be part of our work.
This is why our motto read "Environment and Community
Onward". We believe that we can not establish a sustainable
society without having ethics and harmony between ourselves and the
environment. We in Eco are against any type of unethical conduct in any
form. We, also, decided that the issue of credibility would continue as
before and forever as there is no compromise in this issue. At the same
time we decided that our clients should receive the same attention we
are giving to the community. Therefore, we are offering them top quality
of work engulfed in confidentiality. We are providing our clients a
solid 15 years of experience in environmental aspects based on
educational background, research and involvement in projects.
This is why Eco Environmental Consultants became, and it will continue
to be a very well respected firm in the community. We publish our
highly acclaimed reports including the half annually Kuwait Environment
Status Report in the prestigious Al-Qabas
Daily Newspaper. We were requested by the Kuwait's
National Assembly, Foreign Affairs Committee, to give a presentation in
their International Conference on Kuwait-Iraq Future Relationship with
regard to the impacts of Iraq's
Third River
on Kuwait's
marine environment.
Eco Environmental Consultants is a private company with a
different attitude. For example, we donate 2.5% from our net profit to
good humanitarian and environmental causes whether in Kuwait
or in the world. We donated to refugees and initiated environmental
campaigns i.e. asbestos removal, Kestrels and Reef Rescue.
These words are in fact express my personal
thoughts and at the same time reflects Eco personality. I hope
that you will enjoy surfing the site and I am very much interested to
have your feed back.
