Dr. Faten Al-Attar

Obtained her B.Sc. in Chemistry and Industrial Management from Kuwait University in 1988. Also. Obtained her M. Sc. in Environmental Impact Assessment and waste management from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland in 1989. In 1997 she obtained her Ph.D. in Sustainable development strategies formulation and implementation from the University of Aberdeen, Scotland.

In November 1999 she became the first in the State of Kuwait to be a registered in UK as an Associate Environmental Auditor with IEMA (Institute for Environmental Management and Auditing) in UK.

She is an assistant Professor and the Environmental Health Department, College of Health Sciences, Kuwait.

She was appointed in June 2000 to be the head of the "Wagf Fund for the preservation of the Environment". The Wagf Fund is a governmental organization, in the sate of Kuwait, that run funds provided by people towards issues like health, environment, education, family care, childhood care … etc.

She participated in many seminars and conferences and authors of several published papers and refereed journals.

She is the HSE manager in ECO and also in charge of environmental chemistry and analysis.
